Prepare Your Home for Carpet Cleaning

Carpet Cleaning Preparation Checklist

Thank you for choosing ProRefresh Floor Care! To ensure the best possible cleaning results, please follow these preparation steps before our arrival:

1. Clear the Area

Move any small furniture, items, or obstacles from the carpeted areas that will be cleaned (e.g., rugs, lamps, toys, or decorative objects).

If you have large furniture, please let us know in advance if you’d like it moved.

2. Vacuum the Carpet (or at least remove debris)

If possible, vacuum the area to remove loose dirt, dust, and debris before the cleaning. We’ll do a final vacuum to ensure thoroughness, but it helps us get a jump start.

3. Secure Pets

For the safety of your pets and our technicians, please keep pets in a separate room or away from the cleaning area during the service.

4. Ensure Access to Parking, Water, and Power

Please park so that we may pull into your driveway without blocking you in. This is especially important if we need to use specialized equipment. Ensure that there is access to electrical outlets and a water source near the area to be cleaned.

5. Identify Stains or Trouble Spots

If there are specific stains or areas of concern, please point them out to our technician when they arrive so we can give them extra attention.

6. Allow for Drying Time

After cleaning, carpets may take 6–8 hours to fully dry (sometimes longer depending on humidity and airflow). Please keep this in mind when planning foot traffic.

7. Remove Delicate or Fragile Items:

If you have any delicate or valuable items on the floor (e.g., vases, electronics), please remove them beforehand to prevent any risk of damage.

8. Let Us Know About Any Special Requests

If you have any special instructions or requests (e.g., for hypoallergenic cleaning products, sensitive areas), please inform us ahead of time.

9. Plan for Heavy Traffic Areas

If you need to use the carpet shortly after cleaning (e.g., for family events or high-traffic spaces), let us know, and we can discuss how to best prepare the area for quicker drying.

10. Ensure Safe and Clear Pathways

Clear walkways to allow our technicians easy access to the rooms being cleaned.
